For us, each case is special and therefore needs to be evaluated individually. Different rules and regulations are involved in booking an appointment for treatment at the Shriners Hospital for Children. You can get information on these rules here. To refer a child to a Shrine Hospital is quite simple. Simply contact any Shriner, or any Shrine Center or Shrine Temple. They will help the child's family submit an application, and upon acceptance into the program, arrange transportation to the Hospital.
Children up to 18 years of age are treated at no charge to their family if, in the opinion of the chief of staff, there is a reasonable possibility that treatment will benefit the child. Shriners Hospitals for Children are open to all children regardless of their race, religion or relationship to a Shriner. The only requirement is that the child can be helped by treatment at the Hospital. |
